Success Stories of NGOs in Skill Development

Only NGOs, Corporate Foundations, Funding Agencies, Governments, UN
We know that main focus of corporates is to help people with good products & services (Quality, Cost, Availability, Climate, Country, Empolyee, Shareholder, Supply Chain responsibility) and they partner with NGOs or Government or UN for their social issue programme or their foundation helps communities directly. So they are like social doctors which give social consultancy not social surgeons who directly work with communities. But they partner with successful organisations, so we do not share their success story but that of their partners. Partners can mention their name)

We share link to HSBC India for a special reason.

ASSIST aims to improve the economic status of poor communities by identifying sustainable income sources and providing corresponding skill training. ASSIST’s sustainable farming projects involve the creation of demonstrative plots and training in crop rotation and organic farming methods to produce crops with low investment, and thus save the fertility of soil for years to come. Through nursery demonstration plots, farmers are able to learn seed treatment against fungal and bacterial diseases, which largely reduces the need for pesticide application after transplantation. Consumers of farm products are interested in purchasing vegetables, pulses and other cereal grains produced under organic farming practices, so farmers can fetch higher prices in the markets.
