NGOs
are Non Government Organisations.
They help Governments in addressing the challenges
of the issue.
So in NGO coverage we will include national government
link of the countries so that one can see relevant
department and the related schemes.
We will add UN issue related offices in pages.
India is our global country example. So we share
NGOs having programmes on the issue Statewise or
UTwise. And share their head office location. Large
NGOs may be running programmes in 2 or 3 or even
above 30 states / UTs. We share them statewise which
means if they have programmes in 7 states, we share
their name 7 times. To start with we are sharing
state / UT where they have registered their organisation
and will add them statewise if the related organisation
shares links of their programmes in various states
/ UTs.
We
take info from secondary sources and can not gurantee
if the NGO runs actual programmes or are waiting
for funds to run the programme or were running the
programme but stopped it for some reason.
In
case of Thane district which is a district in India,
we are integrating the work of Government, NGOs,
UN, Corporates, Corporate Foundations, Funding Agencies,
Philanthropists & Celebrities and value volunteering
groups. So instead of Cancer NGOs in any Thane district,
the link goes to Cancer Thane.
Please
Note
We are sharing the names of NGOs and in some places
link to their website so that visitors can see the
actual programme. It is not possible either through
human intelligence or artificial intelligence to
study the credibility of 300 000 NGOs. And more
important, credibility can change anyday, so it
has to be updated regularly. And we dont do that.
So we share the links. Hence the donors can directly
check the credibility of the NGOs they partner with
through their own departments or can use consultants
or experts or other specialised portals.
In
case of India, many large corporates have offices
or branches at district level, so their employees
at the location can also voluntarily check the credibility
of the NGOs.
CSRidentity.com thinks that many NGOs may be doing
good work to help local communities but may not
get donors at village level, so they use their own
funds or get some support from District, State /
UT or National Governments. So it is not right to
exclude their name but at the same time give precautions
to donors.
Please note that we have observed that in case of
NGOs in India, they share their name in 5 or more
issues on related government site. So 250000 NGOs
in India may mean that we share their names 250000
into 5 which is 12 50 000 places names of these
250000 NGOs are shared.
