International Centre for Private Sector in Development
The Sustainable Development Goals underline the role of skills
generation for work, entrepreneurship, employment, livelihoods
and development. The private sector has a crucial role to play
both in the design and delivery of skills development. The engagement
of private sector actors can enhance market-relevant employability
skills of students and trainees, especially disadvantaged groups
like youth and women. In turn, the business community gains access
to a highly-skilled workforce that significantly improves competitiveness
and productivity.

NCT believes in the importance of investing in youth to create
lasting positive change—Vocational Skills Training is one of the
best ways for communities to achieve that. By targeting those
often overlooked—the unskilled and illiterate—and endowing them
with the necessary tools to become employable, NCT helps communities
build change from the ground up. NCT

youth off the streets and equip them with the knowledge conducive

them from taking advantage of the vast employment opportunities
in the cities of India. Therefore, many youth living in urban
communities remain unemployed or under-employed.Skills
training is one of the most powerful tools for making a lasting
impact on the lives of these young people and their families.

in each one of our students.

focusing on digital literacy. These centers are set up in remote
locations of India, where even basic digital literacy is lacking.

in these locations, with the objective of providing employment
to youth in the organized industry. These centers target 18-30-year
olds.

in the students. These centers focus on the all-round development
of every beneficiary at the center. The courses are long term.

STEM for Youth
In rural India, students often lack access to quality science
labs, tech exposure, and practical learning.
They study science only through books, with very little hands-on
experience, which affects understanding and interest in the subject.
This leads to low confidence, poor problem-solving abilities,
and lack of motivation for STEM careers. STEM for Youth fills
this gap by making science fun, accessible, and practical for
every child, no matter where they live.
