Concept

"Self esteem"
We always read : "Instead of Giving a fish to a man to eat, teach a man how to fish.

While the first is lifetime giving, the second is far better because it gives NGOs & donors the opportunity to exit to serve other communities."

And the communities feel that the NGO which helps them has a larger purpose. The products they make or services they offer has a value.

NGOs can sell products made by communities as well as sell products made by corporates because corporates value NGO reachout & relations with communities.

NGOs can act as mini agents selling products to communities in villages or in hostels or senior citizen homes ...

NGO Brands
Having worked in Advertising & PR, founder Sanjay Kunud Moreshwar Bapat, who is an Ashoka fellow for his Social Enterprise, knows that worldover people even brand gods.

NGOs already supported by donors like a corporate or corporate foundation or funding agency or philanthropic organisation or national celebrity or United Nations are shared as NGO Brands.

Plus NGOs formed by organisation like Ashoka which has Fellows in over 90 countries. We cant share organisations which support organisations of just 1 or 2 or 3 or even 9 countries. We share NGOs which are supported by at least 10 countries.

We share Countrywise NGO Brands as well as share them by their name because we want to brand NGOs.
If NGO is a Brand, it attracts more donors & volunteers.

We have decided not to share NGOs which only are financially supported by Government because of political interference. This does not mean that the NGOs supported by Governments are not good.

Similarly, we know that many NGOs which work is rural areas or forests or areas which are facing naxalism or terrorism, do not get corporate or funding agency support for known reasons.

While we respect all NGOs, we cant share such NGOs (however good) as NGO Brands.
But to share their work is our responsibility. So we share their projects issuewise and this coverage has links to the websites of organisations. So these organisations can be contacted by donors.
