Ulcers
are sores that are slow to heal or keep returning.
There are various types of ulcers such as a peptic ulcer in the
lining of your stomach or upper intestine. From your eye to your
foot, you can get them just about anywhere on your body.
Injuries, diseases, and
infections can cause them. What they look like depends on where
you have them and how you got them. While some go away on their
own, others cause serious problems if you don’t treat them.

Helicobacter Pylori Infections May Be a Key Treatment for Parkinson's
Disease
While human genetic mutations are involved in a small number of
Parkinson's disease (PD) cases, the vast majority of cases are
of unknown environmental causes, prompting enormous interest in
identifying environmental risk factors involved. The link between
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and gastric ulcers has been known
for several decades, but new evidence suggests that this harmful
bacterium may play a role in PD as well. A new review in the Journal
of Parkinson's Disease summarizes the current literature regarding
the link between H. pylori and PD and explores the possible mechanisms
behind the association.

Shifting
bacterial communities in the stomach may influence cancer risk
Microbe changes linked with specific conditions could explain
differences in risk and type of tumor
Different changes to the microbial community of the stomach may
explain why related conditions are associated with different risk
levels and types of gastric tumor, according to a new study in
PLOS Pathogens.

New
receptors discovered for stomach germ Helicobacter pylori
Helicobacter pylori is a spiral bacterium that can colonize the
human stomach -- sometimes with fatal consequences. A research
group led by Prof. Markus Gerhard of the Technical University
of Munich (TUM) and Assistant Professor Dr. Bernhard B. Singer
of the Institute for Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine of the
University of Duisburg-Essen at Essen University Medical Centre
has discovered a completely new approach to preventing or treating
infections with this bacterium as well as secondary complications.

Study on the Gastrointestinal Disease and Helicobacter Pylori
Controlled Long Non-coding RNA
Helicobacter
pylori (H.pylori) is a major human pathogenic bacterium in gastric
mucosa which is linked to the development of gastritis, peptic
ulcer disease, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma and
gastric cancer. However the regulatory mechanism of H.pylori-induced
immune response is not clear. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) has
recently emerged as key .

Pylori Eradication on Healing of Iatrogenic Gastric Ulcer by Endoscopic
Mucosal Resection
This
study will evaluate the effect of Helicobacter pylori eradication
therapy on the healing of iatrogenic gastric ulcer caused by endoscopic
mucosal resection of gastric neoplastic lesions and is a multicenter,
randomized, double blind, and placebo controlled trial.
