Girls on Ground (GoG)
Girls on Ground (GoG) is a dynamic initiative by
SAFA aimed at reclaiming public spaces for girls
through the power of football. Rooted in the belief
that sport is a catalyst for transformation, GoG
creates a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment
for adolescent girls from Hyderabad’s Old City to
play, grow, and lead. In
communities where girls are often restricted from
accessing public spaces, GoG breaks barriers by
building confidence, physical strength, and leadership
through the simple act of playing football. The
program not only nurtures athletic skills but also
supports girls’ mental, emotional, and social wellbeing
