Sanjay
Kumud Moreshwar Bapat thinks that scientists,
innovators are great philanthropists because he
doesnt think philanthropy is limited to financial
donations. Maybe, he has old thinking or roots.
He
thought new generation thinks new, and many times,
they dont value old things.
Maybe new generation is fast or new innovations
means the life of old innovation has expired.
e.g. Television. Now we use mobile as TV or there
a slick TVs or big TVs or smart TVs. And the one
that was invented is old.
But
he thinks that first is first. Like the first
individusl who went to moon will always be first.
New technologies may even mean that in 2050, people
go to moon for vacation or in 2150, there may
be people living on moon.
The
Greek root of philanthropy may be literally translated
as "loving people." The English word
can refer to general goodwill to one's fellow
people, as well as to the active effort to promote
the welfare of people, but in modern use it is
most often used to refer specifically to the practice
of giving money and time to help make life better
for others. A person who practices philanthropy
is called a philanthropist; the term philanthrope
was formerly used with the same meaning, but it
is now considered archaic
We
have just shared the name of just 300 plus scientists
who has Discovered or Invented things.
When we get a sponsor for any scientist, we will
share in brief information and patents of the
scientists.
We know which medicine to take for cough or which
are well known mobiles or which is good refrigerator
but we do not know about A Celsius or A Parker
or Yakawa
On
22.3.2023, we suddenly wanted to see Pythagoras
and saw that his name is not there in scientists.
We realised that he is not known as Scientists
but a scholar of mathematics and a philosopher.
Then we searched Aristotle. Again his name was
not there. He was a Ancient philosopher and polymath. |
