Skill Development : NGOs

NGOs are Non Government Organisations and they help Governments in addressing the challenges of the issue.
So in NGO coverage we will include government departments so that one knows how government is helping the issue and also will add UN help because in most of the cases UN works with governments of countries.

In case of Thane district which is a district in India, we are integrating the work of Government, NGOs, UN, Corporates, Corporate Foundations, Funding Agencies, Philanthropists & Celebrities and value volunteering groups. So instead of Skill Development NGOs in any Thane district, the link goes to
Skill Development Thane.

Please Note
We are sharing the names of NGOs and in some places link to their website so that visitors can see the actual programme.
It is not possible either through human intelligence or artificial intelligence to study the credibility of 300 000 NGOs.
Hence the donors can directly check the credibility of the NGOs they partner with through their own departments or can use consultants or experts or other specialised portals.

In case of India, many large corporates have offices or branches at district level, so their employees at the location can also voluntarily check the credibility of the NGOs.

It may help if donors approach the local bank (village, city or district level branch) to know whether the NGO has any transactions in the last 6 months or a year. (We are not saying ask amount but they can say check the credibility of the donor any may share the facts - again, not number of transactions or amount in transaction, more so if they know that some one is trying to help the communities through NGOs and are helping the government in tackling social challenges)

CSRidentity.com thinks that many NGOs may be doing good work to help local communities but may not get donors at village level, so they use their own funds or get some support from District, State / UT or National Governments. So it is not right to exclude their name but at the same time give precautions to donors.

Please note that we have observed that in case of NGOs in India, they share their name in 10 or more issues on related government site. So 2 50 000 NGOs in India may mean that 25 00 000 times the names of these 2 50 000 NGOs are shared.

NGOs in countries other than India

Skill Development : NGOs

NGOs in India
Skill Development shared in India page are with links to their website and we will share links to the exact related programme by 15 October 2024.
Most of these are NGO Brands who are funded by corporates, funding agencies, philanthropistsm celebrities.

But we admit that there are many good NGOs not shared by us issuewise.
So we share NGOs working on this issues in India districtwise, with no link to the NGO website.

NGOs in countries other than India
We share NGOs working on the issue from various countries and plan to share at least 10000 NGO Brands and whichever they issue work on, will be shared issuewise with due links.

NGOs, Local Government in Thane
Thane is a district of India but is our example district. We not only will share NGOs but approach the district administration as well as Thane Municipal corporation to share the schemes of government issuewise.
We also will share corporates, funding agencies, Thane Philanthropists (who donate more than Rs 1 lakh per year), Local celebrities on dedicated Thane page for each issue.

NGOs having programmes on other issues
There are many NGOs which work on more than one social issue. We will share them issuewise.
